4th Wave AI Business Source License (Rolling Change Date, 2025 Draft)

Licensor: The Huggins Foundation DBA 4th Wave AI
Licensed Work: 4th Wave AI Core Platform (including feed aggregator, analysis dashboard, and related source code)
License Date: The release date of each specific version of the Licensed Work
Change Date: Three (3) years from the License Date of each specific release


1. License Grant

You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to:

  • Use the Licensed Work for personal, educational, research, and internal commercial purposes.
  • Modify, fork, and redistribute the Licensed Work, provided you comply with the terms below.

2. Additional Use Grant (After Change Date)

On the Change Date for each release, that version of the Licensed Work will automatically convert to the Apache 2.0 License. From that date forward, you may use, modify, and distribute it under Apache 2.0.


3. Prohibited Use (Before Change Date)

Until the Change Date, you may not:

  • Offer the Licensed Work (or any modified version) as a hosted or managed service that competes with 4th Wave AI’s SaaS offerings (including hosted feeds, dashboards, or analytics).
  • Use the Licensed Work to create a direct commercial substitute for 4th Wave AI’s products or services.

4. Commercial Licensing

If you wish to offer the Licensed Work as a hosted or managed service, or otherwise use it in a way prohibited above, you must obtain a commercial license from 4th Wave AI.

5. No Warranty

The Licensed Work is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.


6. Governing Law

This License shall be governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States.

  • Each release is protected for 3 years.
  • After 3 years, it automatically becomes Apache 2.0 open source.
  • Before then, SaaS/hosted competition requires a paid license.
