Codeman 1.49.0 is out: 13 PRs plus a right-to-left fix. You can now open the tmux sessions you started by hand, and Codeman installs on an account with no admin rights.
Open the tmux sessions you started yourself. @dignfei built this one. Any tmux session you started by hand shows up on the home screen under Opened outside Codeman, and one click opens it as a tab, on this machine, in a container or over ssh. Closing the tab only detaches, so your session keeps running. Codeman didn't start it, so it keeps its hands off: respawn, Ralph, auto-clear, one-shot prompts and prompt uploads are all refused there.
Install without admin rights. The installer can finish on an account with no sudo now. Node.js and tmux go in your home folder, the source comes as an archive if there's no working git, and
--no-adminforces that route. An install without git updates by re-running the install line, and Linux still needs make, a C++ compiler and python3.Docker Compose in two commands.
bash docker/Start-Codeman.shasks three questions, writesdocker/.env, starts the container and prints the URL once Codeman answers. One thing to check before you update: both Docker scripts now refuse to run whileCODEMAN_PASSWORDis still the example valuechangeme, so set a real password if yours is.Codex sessions can drive other sessions. A new opt-in setting, Allow network access, lets the Codeman skill reach this server from inside Codex's sandbox. Read the warning before you turn it on. Commands in that sandbox can then start a session outside it with no approval prompt, even with a password set, so the sandbox no longer contains a prompt-injected command. It's off by default.
Persian, Arabic and Hebrew read right to left. That's in the Response Viewer and the File Viewer's markdown view, each block by its own first letter, with code staying left to right. @maminmsh reported it. The terminal pane can't do this yet, since xterm.js has no right-to-left support.
Edit history for remote sessions. @Randalix brought the panel to SSH sessions. It reads transcripts over ssh only while the panel is open, keeps the diffs in the same private local store and never wakes a sleeping host.
A Files panel that keeps up. It now follows your agent into a git worktree inside the session's folder and back out, which @irisitymichaelgrundberg reported. @shenlvkang-collab made the scan fair, so one huge folder no longer uses up the limit and hides the folders after it. A folder the scan didn't finish says so now instead of looking empty.
Smaller fixes.
tmux: command not foundwhen the remote user's home differs from yours, and the pi mouse wheel keeps working after a tab switch or reload.<folder>/<case name>. That's a change from 1.48.0.pathonPOST /api/cases/clonestays the exact target.linked-cases.jsonis refused instead of overwritten.CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIRorDSH_HOMEkeeps it when you clear or switch a custom endpoint. Two upgrade notes. In a remote host's
commands.*override,$now expands on the far end, and a bare$VARin DockerextraCreateArgs/extraExecArgsorextraSshOptionsis passed literally, so write the value out. And close any adopted tabs before going back to 1.48.0 or older, because an older server doesn't know they're adopted.Release notes: https://github.com/Ark0N/Codeman/releases/tag/codeman%401.49.0
To update: Settings, System, Updates in the app, or re-run the install line.
