Describe the bug
Sometimes it works. Most of the time it doesn't. If my watch leaves the range of my bluetooth it'll disconnect. When it comes back into range, it'll reconnect maybe 30 percent of the time. The other 70 percent of the time, I'll go into my phone and try to hit "connect" on the skipjack in my bluetooth settings, but nothing will happen until I unpair and repair the device brand new again.

To reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Leave Bluetooth range
  2. Return to Bluetooth range
  3. If watch doesn't reconnect automatically, go to bluetooth settings on phone and try to connect manually.
  4. Forget device and repair it to restore functionality.

Expected behavior
Pretty simple. connect and reconnect consistently when comeing back into range.

Device (please complete the following information):

  • Watch Codename: skipjack (Ticwatch C2+)
  • AsteroidOS Builddate 2026-02-17 (from build ID)
  • Version 2.0 stable

Additional context
Add any other context about the problem, e.g.

  • Was happening before 2.0. Was always happening. Had been hoping 2.0 would fix it. but sadly it hasn't.
  • Have tried both the homegrown AsteroidOSsync and Gadgetbridge. Problem is not with the apps (I don't think) but with the phone's bluetooth relationship with the watch. I don't need to delete and readd the device to either AOSSync or GB; once I've repaired it to my phone's bluetooth, both apps start working perfectly again.
  • I HAVE tried deleting and readding the device in both apps just in case. to no effect.
