Retest the examples for show and list. Is the --id parameter value accurate? Often an Azure resource has an ID that looks something like this: /subscriptions/00000000-0000-0000-00000000/resourceGroups/myRGName, and not just a single GUID. The customer is giving an example of /sqlRoleDefinitions/00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001.

Verbatim:

The instructions are not correct for getting the roleDefinitionId. The example omits a portion of the roleDefinitionId, namely /sqlRoleDefinitions/00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001 - as given, the instruction produces an error saying that role definition Id must be a GUID.
