Broom duping: Going through a nether portal while riding a broom creates new default broom item

Short description:

This is a simple, broom duping bug that can be used to generate immense amounts of default brooms in a short time.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. For easy observing, empty your hotbar except for one broom item.
2. Walk up to a nether portal
3. Start riding the broom. While riding a broom the Nether portal is instant. This amplifies the speed the bug can be exploited.
4. After traveling from/to Nether using the portal, The player will have the original broom in their inventory, and the broom they were riding will be swapped by a default one.
5. You can then click shift to get out of the broom and right click on a broom (either the old or the new one) to trigger an instant dimension switch again.

Expected behavior:

I would except either to keep riding the same broom after entering/exiting Nether, or to stop riding the broom and have it in my inventory instead, just like what happens when the player teleports using commands.

It's not, it's using British English spelling, since we're Europeans ourselves.
