Unique TermRelation Models and Tables

I'd really like to see the ability to easily add additional TermRelation models/tables, similar to how Eloquent Meta does things

I'm not sure how this could possibly be implemented with Term::termRelations(). Any thoughts?

Sure! Lets say I have a model for Blog Posts and another model for Users. Blog Posts can be tagged with terms from the Category taxonomy. Users can be tagged with terms from the Country taxonomy and the Age Range taxonomy. Currently, all TermRelations will go into the term_relations table without exception. What I am proposing is something like this:

Place the name of a model to use instead of TermRelation in a property on the model that uses TaxonomyTrait.

use Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Model;
use Devfactory\Taxonomy\TaxonomyTrait;

class BlogPost extends Model
{
    use TaxonomyTrait;

    protected $term_relation_model = 'Fully\Namespaced\BlogPostTermRelation';

    // model methods
}

Then in BlogPostTermRelation simply extends Devfactory\Taxonomy\Models\TermRelation. You may now add custom methods to the term relation model. You may also dictate which table the term relation is saved to by adding

protected $table = "whatever_table";
