Operations

We are in the process of solidifying these roles here - https://github.com/DrupalOpenLearning/administration/issues/1

The following activities are necessary to keep both the program and associated website(s) operational and sustainable.

Program Managers

Responsibilities

  • Manages existing programs, directs development work, builds relationships, coordinates effort
  • Outreach to potential projects, community initiatives, and contributors
  • Blog posts, newsletters, and other promotional activities
  • Internal documentation and process docs

Who

  • Leads - Gus Austin (@gusaus), Daniel Pickering (@ikit-claw)
  • Apprentice / Intern - TBD
  • Budgeted time estimate – TBD

Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Develop fundraising strategies for partner and client programs.
  • Leverage OpenCollective and other crowdfunding tools.
  • Identify, write, and manage grants, proposals, and other outreach.
  • Develop, and maintain relationships with partner organizations.

Who -

  • Lead / Mentor – TBD
  • Apprentice / Intern - TBD
  • Adviser/Support – DrupalCon, Inc. (DCI) ?
  • Budgeted time estimate - 2.5 hrs /wk
  • Notes - Ideally we’d would work closely with the Sponsorship Coordinator for the DA/DCI. Same people would most likely be able to secure funds (and get paid) on internal and partner projects.

Technology Manager/SysAdmin

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and managing ELMS on AWS.
  • Updates and Maintains AWS instances.
  • Monitors for Security Updates.

Who

Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Define resources and schedule for project implementation.
  • Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals and milestones.

Who

  • Apprentice / Intern - TBD
  • Budgeted time estimate – TBD

Technical Lead / Site Architect

Responsibilities

  • Establish the high-level development strategy through module selection and configuration.
  • Focus on sitewide concerns such as integration, scalability, performance, and security.

Who

  • Adviser / Mentor - Bryan Ollendyke (@btopro)
  • Apprentice / Intern - TBD
  • Budgeted time estimate – TBD

Site Builder

Responsibilities

  • Configures Modules, Content Types, and Views.
  • Defines User Roles and Permissions.
  • In charge of Navigation, Menus, Taxonomy; Actions and Workflows.
