You are welcome to use the TeSS platform software however you like within the terms of its licence.
4+
However, we have an extensive community of users and developers which you are welcome to join. They can offer you support and guidance throughout the setup process and thereafter.
5+
6+
If you are maintaining an instance of TeSS, or thinking of doing so, please [contact us](https://tess.elixir-europe.org/about/us#contact). We will help you to effectively credit the TeSS developers and community.

TeSS is an open source, reusable software platform, and has been [deployed by several other communities across the globe](../overview/tess#global-instances-of-tess). However, with the launch of the [Spaces feature](intro-spaces), it is possible for a community to create their own tailored catalogue or "view" within an existing TeSS instance. The TeSSHub is a public instance that supports the Spaces feature (launching soon).

A single TeSS instance can present multiple tailored catalogues whose selections of training material are “views” on a global catalogue.
4+
Each community registers, maintains and curates their material for their members in their own virtual space in the common portal environment.
5+
6+
This new feature is possible thanks to the [mTeSS-X project](https://elixirtess.github.io/mTeSS-X/). Catalogues are pooled into a shared instance but look to their community as if they have their own catalogue with their own identity.
