Suggestion. Can you make this turrets controllable by player? Like tripod for guns?

After more thought, I have a question. What exactly would the purpose be? I don't see how it would be different than just using a gun.

You can place it on exactly place and use it, also if you will use VS you can set up machine gun on top of your tank) or Create contraptions, you can transport it, oh wait, I forgot, turret is a entity or a block?

Turrets are entities, but how would using it be different than just using a gun regularly? I'm not sure I see the point
