Action Performed:
Prerequisite: No existing conversation between User A and User B.
Prerequisite 2: User B is not displayed on "Recents" or "Contacts" list.
Open the staging.new.expensify.com website.
Turn off internet connection.
Click on FAB > "Start Chat"
Start a new chat with an user with no existing conversation.
Once redirected to chat, turn on internet connection.
Note that conversation and user´s avatar load correctly.
Navigate out of the conversation.
Click on FAB > "Start Chat"
Note that new user is visible on "Recents", but Email is not displayed below the name.
Type part of the user´s Email on search input.
Note that no results are displayed.
Type the entire Email.
Note that user appears, but with fallback avatar.
Start chat with same user again.
Note that after being navigated to chat, "Offline Avatar" is visible before correct user´s avatar appears.
Expected Result:
After starting a new conversation while offline, user from chat should appear on search results when typing part of the Email. Also, Email should be visible below username on "Recents" list, and after reopening chat, correct avatar should appear instead of "Offline Avatar" or fallback avatar.
Actual Result:
After starting a new conversation while in offline mode, new user can´t be found on search results by typing part of the Email. Also, user´s Email is not visible below username on "Recents" list.
When reopening chat, fallback avatar is displayed for the user before opening conversation.
