Base cycle of development (Cycle 0) #1

Description

By the end of this development phase, we should have parallel-ready, fully-tested, fully-coupled solvers for

  • Basic single-phase Darcy flow in heterogeneous mediums (No coupling obviously).
  • Two phase BlackOil flow in unsaturated reservoirs (mainly water-oil flow)

The supporting library should provide the following functionality:

Simulation model formulation and implementation

  • Rock-dependent capillary and relative-permeability profiles

EOR Enhancements

  • A Base Polymer model

Mesh/Geology

  • Basic support for Corner Grid from Schlumberger's Eclipse input including fault and region multipliers.

Wells control

  • BHP-controled and/or (Reservoir)Rate-imposed wells.
  • Well Groups/Clusters.
  • Operations on individual well perforation levels.

IO format

  • Logging and visualization of well-specific data and traditional reservoir-engineering parameters.

Simulation/Numerics methods

  • Fully-implicit Fully-coupled equations
  • Inspection of benefits of Dual-TimeStepping.
