On macOS 26.4 (25E246) with QuickLook Video 3.06 on Apple Silicon, Quick Look for this AVI opens a blank white window and never renders video.

File details:

• Content type: public.avi
• Video: MPEG-4 Advanced Simple Profile, codec tag XVID
• Audio: MP3
• QuickLook Video report says:
  • Playable: No
  • Thumbnail: QLThumbnailErrorDomain Code=0 / Code=102
  • Spotlight import succeeds

Expected:

• Quick Look should play the video or at least show a snapshot/static preview.

Actual:

• White blank Quick Look window with spinner.

This may be related to issue #175 where AVFoundation appears to claim some AVI / old MPEG-4 files before QuickLook Video can override them.

Thanks. I'm hoping to have a fix for this in the next release. DivX in AVI is similar to #175 in that in both cases AVFoundation usually parses the AVI container, but different in that in this case AVFoundation doesn't pretend to understand the codec.
