When using the "Delete and redraft" button and you cancel the new submission, you're not cancelling everything but are only cancelling the "redraft" (re-post) part. Your old post had essentially already been deleted and there's no way to get it back.
How you found the issue
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Go to your Timeline
Click on "Delete and redraft"
Click on the "X" button to cancel
Your post is gone. You didn't even get a warning
What you expected to happen
I would have expected that the "X" button would have cancelled the whole operation and not deleted my post.
The second best behavior would be to at least warn me like this: "If you cancel now, no new post will be made and your old one is not coming back either, because it has already been deleted."
