Package Obsolescence

I downloaded the Excel Custom Functions scaffolding project. 
When i go to build, there are a lot of "deprecation" warnings. 
Additionally, my company's nexus database is quarantining various transitive dependencies, so the build ultimately fails.

Any chance this project could be updated to use newer versions of node packages?
