Can't complete Apple sign in process

Hello, thanks for the tutorial and sample.

However, the sign-in process always gets stuck at this point when i enter my Apple password.
Any idea of why it would hang in there?

Hi @stesvis , did you also encounter this on a physical device ?

I've got the exact same behaviour on Simulator, but not on my test physical device.

@Kapusch unfortunately I don't have a physical device with iOS 13+, but I made an IPA for my coworker who has one, and it seems to complete (we get the userId etc).

Personally, I only have an iPod with iOS 12.4 and on that one I cannot complete the sign-in process.

iOS 12.4.9

• I get to the point where it asks "Do you want to continue using <App_ID> with your Apple ID <my_emali>"?
• I click Continue
• The app responds with "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid"

So in the end I am not even sure if this is supposed to work with iOS<13. If it's not...then why do the code samples provide some code to handle this scenario?

Actually, the source code of this repo has been integrated into Xamarin.Essentials.

Did you try instead to use it ? (currently in pre-release)

@Kapusch thanks I didn't know that Xamarin.Essentials had it, very handy indeed.
However, the result is the same, it hangs after entering the password and continuing.

Hi,
I have a very similar problem. When I try to login on my iPhone (13.4) with the Webautenticator (not the native AppleSignInAuthenticator) I get the dialog to login, but then I get an error “Registration not completed”. On the Azure the service seems to work OK. Google works fine. The AppleSignInAuthenticator works fine.

Hi, I solved the problem. The configuration for oAuth2 for Apple is more complicated as described here:

It works only for iOS >= 13 . For iOS < 13 and for other platforms, which use iOS oAuth2, it is necessary to configure more in iOS Certificates.

1. Create an identifier for your app explicit
2. Create a Key for the app and download the certificate for Azure
3. Create a new ServiceId -> the id is your clientId in Azure
   Here Domain is like the url in azure XXXXXXXX.azurewebsites.net
   The redirect url is: https:// XXXXXXXX.azurewebsites.net/signin-apple

The API must work in Azure, because Apple doesn’t accept the localhost for test.

It works well in iOS. In my UWP and Android App I get the token, but the email and the name is empty. I coudn’t find any option to get it. Without the email it is useless to use the iOS oAuth2 in other systems, apart from iOS. If you find a possibility to get the email on Android or UWP, let me know.
