Can't get MTProxyMax to work

Hi!
I've used a standard MTProxy (one which updated about 8 years ago) and it worked fine, but then my friend recommended me MTProxyMax. Successfully installed it but it doesn't work, can't connect... Tried to change domains and ports but nothing helped. Maybe I miss something with telemt on my server?

The install looks fine — engine is running, masking is on.

A few things to check:

1. Firewall — is port 8443 open? Run ss -tlnp | grep 8443 to confirm the engine is listening, then check ufw status or iptables -L -n to make sure incoming traffic is allowed. Also check your VPS provider's security group/firewall panel.

2. Proxy link — share the output of mtproxymax secret link (redact the secret if you want). The link must use ee prefix (fake TLS) and the hex-encoded domain must match cloudflare.com.

3. Where are you connecting from? Some countries/ISPs actively block MTProxy traffic. If you're in Russia, see Handshake timeout #56 — TSPU is currently blocking MTProxy on many ISPs regardless of port or domain.

4. Docker logs — run docker logs mtproxymax 2>&1 | tail -30 right after a connection attempt from Telegram and share the output. This will show if the handshake is even reaching the engine or being dropped before that.

5. Test from outside — from another machine, run curl -sv --connect-timeout 5 https://YOUR_SERVER_IP:8443 2>&1 | head -20. If you get a TLS handshake back, the port is reachable. If it times out, it's a network/firewall issue.
