What is the problem the feature request solves?

AWS has published benchmark results at https://awslabs.github.io/data-on-eks/docs/benchmarks/spark-datafusion-comet-benchmark

Key areas we need to look at:

• DPP support
• DPP fallback not working correct in awslabs TPC-DS benchmark #3870
• Reduce off-heap memory requirements TPC 1TB benchmarks #3868
• Improve S3 region detection (fix: cache object stores and bucket regions to reduce DNS query volume #3802)
• Resolve DNS issue (fix: cache object stores and bucket regions to reduce DNS query volume #3802)
• Falling back to Spark for queries/stages that Comet cannot currently accelerate
