Deployment fails

[kanekoy]

When I perform the initial deployment using amplify-vite-react-template, the deployment fails.

It seemed fine until the end of 2025.

Same issue here. I've created two amplify project one last week (before the previous git commit) and one today. The first one works perfectly but the second one I've the same issue.
I tried to put the previous dependencies and its working. So try to update your package.json with those versions :

For now, I'm not sure if the build error is about adding eslint support or aws-cli upgrade.
But, please Amplify Team, updating your template without testing a fresh deploy is not serious at all.

npm error `npm ci` can only install packages when your package.json and package-lock.json or npm-shrinkwrap.json are in sync. Please update your lock file with `npm install` before continuing.

So looks like we just need a PR that runs npm install and updates package-lock correctly

I ran npm i and pushed the change of package-lock and it fixed the issue for me.

In my case, the issue was caused by the Node.js version. I was using v20.19, but after updating to v20.20.0, regenerating the package-lock.json, and running npm install, the deployment was successful!

In conclusion, it seems to work without changing dependencies or devDependencies. You just need to run npm i using Node.js version 20.20.0 or higher and commit the updated package-lock.json.

Node 20 will stop maintenance in 4 months, you probably should upgrade.
FYI I was in 24.13.0 when this occured to me. So even in higher version this may happen.

I went with v20.20.0 since the engines field in package.json specified it. But I agree, upgrading to v24 is a better move. Thanks for the suggestion!
