Originally developed at Baidu. Baidu Data Warehouse Palo was open sourced in 2017 on Github and entered the Apache Incubator in 2018, and renamed Doris.
In addition to maintaining the Apache Doris community, the Baidu Doris (Palo) team also provides Palo, a distribution based on Apache Doris.
