Visio Message .vssx file corrupt

It appears that I am the only one having this issue. But, when I attempt to "Open" any of the Stencil files Visio throws a message, "Visio cannot open the file or a component in the file is corrupt".
Any suggestions?

What version of Visio are you using?
Did you download the zip or git clone the repository?
