Streaming support?

It would be nice to provide a convenient way of streaming data between hosts (up & down) via SSH.

I know this is a super old thread, but any chance this could still be revived?? This library is awesome and I just wanted to see if this project was still revivable!

The project is not dead, but we are not really using it ourselves at the moment, so it gets less attention. But PRs are always welcome.
