Bavithra is a graduate student in the Department of Psychology at Florida International University (FIU), specializing in Cognitive Neuroscience under the mentorship of Dr. Angela Laird. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.Sc. in Data Science (Concentration in Psychology) from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2024. Bavithra’s research focuses on adolescent brain and cognition, combining interdisciplinary approaches from data science and public health. Specifically, her thesis-in-progress examines the effects of weather-related exposures on resting-state functional connectivity in the adolescent brain.
