Patricio is a Cognitive Neuroscience PhD graduate from Florida International University working as a post-doctoral fellow in the Neuroinformatics and Brain Connectivity Lab under Dr. Matthew T. Sutherland. Patricio's research focuses on assessing the structural and functional dynamics across brain networks that contribute towards substance use initiation and continuation behavior, integrating advanced neuroimaging techniques and clinically relevant behavioral assessments. Experienced in managing and conducting complex research studies, and skilled in statistical analysis and data management. Adept at mentoring and teaching with extensive experience in neuroscience and psychology courses. Committed to advancing the field through rigorous research, collaboration, and active participation in professional organizations, and passionate about promoting inclusion in academia.
