Code-Server hangs: Initializing JS/TS language features

Just getting code-server running on ubuntu. 4.7.1. and I can't get past this spinning initializing. I removed all of the extensions. Other ideas?

Hmm...where are you running code-server and how are you accessing it? Maybe doing a fresh install?

I'm running it on a cloud machine, accessing it using nginx reverse proxy. I had issues installing with the script because I have node 19.0, and it was erroring out. I installed it downloading from git instead. Is there a switch so that the script ignores the node version? (force doesn't work on the script)

I tried a fresh install, and getting the same result...

We don't support Node 19 so my recommendation would be to use 14-16 and try that. I'd also try removing nginx reverse proxy from the equation to isolate your problem. Are there are any logs in the browser console?

ok, downgraded to node v16, got rid of nginx. still had the same issue. Then reinstalled code-server. Same issues. Here's what the browser shows:

I'm not sure why it's timing out 🤔 @code-asher any tips?

Does memory usage look OK? Weird that the pty host is timing out. Maybe try killing it (pkill -f ptyHost) so it has to respawn although if restarting code-server does not fix it then this will probably do nothing.
