Commits.to is the best lightweight commitment tracking tool I have found — the public URL as social accountability is elegant.
Feature request: AI agent integration for automatic commitment creation and resolution.
Use case: As a founder using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot), I want agent actions that create code changes to automatically surface as commitments. When an agent opens a PR saying "this implements X feature", a Commits.to promise should be auto-created with the PR metadata.
Flow:
- AI agent creates a PR with a structured summary in the body
- A webhook or bot creates a corresponding Commits.to promise linking to the PR
- When the PR merges, the promise auto-resolves with "kept"
This would make AI agent accountability visible — founders could see not just what agents did, but what they promised to do and whether they followed through. With tools like AGENTOWNERS providing the governance layer, Commits.to could provide the public accountability view.
Would you be open to discussing a webhook API or integration endpoint for programmatic promise creation?
