_bm - Bookmarks (User Preferences)

Hi All

I have recently added the keyword _bm=[all, top], [ktlRoles, !Admin] to one of my apps. I would like to be able to show this feature for all users but when I enable it for other roles the existing bookmarks carry over to other roles eg I have bookmarked some pages I use as Admin but these are not available to other roles. I am wondering if _bm is linked to user preferences and if so how I would enable this.
