Bug: Monero view only wallet doesn't see spends? #1292

Is there an existing issue for this?

Current Behavior
Not sure if this is a limitation of the network or what, if so, should probably let us input spend keys also. (and make it not view only)
When creating a monero wallet from view key/address it doesn't see that amounts received have already been spent
Expected Behavior
shouldn't it also see spends? if not, why can we not import spend priv keys also and have it not be view only?
Reproduce Steps
import a view only priv key for a monero wallet that has received and then sent monero, and then sync it
Environment
- Operating system and version: linux
- Device platform and version: 2.4.4
- Real device or emulator/simulator: real
