How about changing the color of BAD results to gray or white?

It's impossible to see the results with BLACK backgrounds.

how do you black your background? do you have a suggestion to automatically choose a 'good' backgroundcolor that works with overriden default background colors, darkreader, blink, f.lux, iris, pomy or what their names are? maybe the css of the page could react to the users OS-theme via css hints.

feel free to come up with a better solution, but be aware that it's currently an ugly, redundant hack,

how about trying transparent colors for the background, i.e. add alpha channel RGBA?
