Browsing through the structures of the R-groups, we can see that they mostly are predominantly small apolar groups that wouldn't look out of place in most medchem programs. While none of them are substantially more potent than the bromine, the cyclopropyl and methoxy are roughly equipotent to the bromine and may be an interesting candidate for our hypothetical series.
