Could we get a new release with the recent fixes?

Hello,
since the release of v7 several bugs have been reported and fixed as mentioned in
#1054 and #1050. The latter one is preventing me from upgrading, which in turn prevents me from upgrading react and a whole cascade of other things (which is clearly not related to this project) but would it be possible to tag a new release with said fixes?

I second that. We tried upgrading to v7 but encountered various bugs due to #1050.
