Unexpected playback errors and non-disappearing error message overlay

For some videos, the segment editor shows this kind of error message:

Eventually, it'll play the video (maybe transcoded), but the overlay doesn't disappear. So, the error message stays on top and the video is very dark even though it's playing. The overlay should disappear.

Also, why is it getting this error in the first place? Here's playback info from the Jellyfin Desktop player. It's able to direct play the video and it uses the mpv video player:

Is the segment editor using a different video player than the Jellyfin Desktop is using as its video player? Or what could be the cause?

So, the issues are:

• Why the error message overlay doesn't disappear once the video starts playing?
• Why the segment editor is getting these errors even though Jellyfin Desktop is otherwise able to direct play the video?

It is using a different player, yes. It isn't possible to use the player from Jellyfin outside Jellyfin.
