Insert in the local storage is not complete after the BitswapEvent::Complete for the get query

The get query for libp2p-bitswap generates BitswapEvent::Complete when the query is completed. But after the complete event, it takes a few milliseconds before I can retrieve the block with cid from the local storage. is this expected behaviour?
Is insertion into the local storage part of the get query ?? I think so because I can query it. but why is it not available right at the moment the BitswapEvent::Complete is generated and I have to wait for few ms to retrieve the block?

Are you using ipfs-embed? The local storage trait is sync so should happen immediately.

no, I am just using libp2p-bitswap = "0.22.0".
this is what my code looks like

and then the next event where I try to retrieve the block. I have added a loop* below just to wait until the block is available as a workaround
