Do you have any explanation for this number dwBufferSize=16384? How did you come up with it?

I wrote this code a long time ago, so I can only guess at the answer. (I'm disappointed that I didn't document the number at the time.) I see several posts about people losing information with 2K to 4K buffers, so I think I tried to pick something that was significantly larger than the default without going all the way to 64KB. Sorry I can't give you something more definite.
