I couldn't build compilers Dockerfile because of this error

Is debian End of Life at the moment? What can we switch to?

Try adding this right below the FROM line and build again

This is just a workaround for the time being.

yeah i ended up adding something similar to this at the beginning of the image, i also noticed the URL's for some languages are retired/not found so it was throwing an error in the build..
additionally, after we finish building the languages image , there's another image that we need to inherit the latest build from (lang image) and then build it again right ?

@Nxorz correct, after building the judge-compilers docker image, you need to inherit it in the judge0 main Docker image and build it again to have a deploy ready judge0 api.

Got it, im almost close to building the final image, but what about the cron folder and Gemfile?? should i create them?
i didnt quite get those bits

After you are done with building the docker image for the compilers repo, you can just build the docker image of the main repo.

Gemfile and everything related to the rails server will be installed and setup by the dockerfile of the main repo.

After building the main repo's docker image you can just do docker-compose up -d.

Amazing,
i did everything but the server is responding with empty replies for some reason, or result in an aborted connection :')
additionally, the workers are working and stopping constantly, is this a normal behavior ?

It happened to me too and i realized i have to setup redis and pg password in the judge.conf file as it cant be undefined/empty.

If that's not the case for you then any logs can be of help to identify the problem.

You're using docker-compose to run the containers right?

@marcgabe15 @Nxorz Here's my fork with debian 11 (bullseye) migration since debian 10 is EOL.

I will be raising a PR soon, meanwhile you can checkout the fork: https://github.com/mechaadi/judge0/tree/master-amd64.

@Nxorz you can use this as well if you want, all the images are pre-built and hosted on docker hub so it's just docker-compose up -d. Don't forget to update the judge0.conf variables.
