Ability to add this to the Edit Form

Right now, if you add this to the EditForm it will break the functionality (due to a form inside a form issue). Alternatively the ability to have a readonly version on the edit form would be nice. Often people are making comments on a particular resource and someone wants to make edits due to those comments ....

I think it would better to add this kind of component to edit page (it's like in view page using info list)

Yes exactly. When Im in the Edit view on a filament resource, so the form is there for the resource, I want the comments form to be there as well (potentially underneath the main resource), so people can add comments, reply etc, from the Edit resource form page (not just the Infolist)

I also ran into this issue on Edit pages due to a nested <form> element — the comments view includes its own form inside Filament’s main edit form.

This causes invalid HTML and conflicts with Filament’s submit and validation behavior (for example, wire:submit.prevent="save" in the inner form intercepts the parent form submission).

The nested form comes from vendor/kirschbaum-development/commentions/resources/views/comments.blade.php

💡 Workaround / Solution

I solved this by splitting the interface:

• The comment submission form now lives in its own modal action (outside of the main Filament form).
• The comments list is displayed inside the edit form, via a simple ViewField.

This completely removes the nested <form> issue.

1️⃣ Create a view for the comments list

Add a dedicated section for comments:

✅ Result:

• The comments list is embedded directly in the Edit page.
• The “Add Comment” action opens a modal containing its own form.
