Does it support websocket?

Hey there -- sorry for the very late response!

The primary web platform we've been using in the LFE community is YAWS, and YAWS does support webcokets. I have half of a LFE demo written for it somewhere -- I'll try to find it (or start over) and maybe push that out as an LFE blog post for you.

If you want to get started right away, though, the Erlang for it is here:

To answer your question more specifically, there are no wenbsocket-related functions or macros in lfest. That may change after I work through the websockets demo in LFE, though :-)

Oh, I should mention: I've got a "research" project under way that is exploring a different implementation of routes for LFE -- one that lets developers compose routes, provide contexts, etc., just like Compojure. Definitely not ready to use yet, but I wanted to let you know about it, in case those were features you were looking for.

Okay, it looks like I will be updating lfest to add another out-helper function, probably arity 4. I think it will take the following parameters:

• arg-data
• router function
• websocket callback
• YAWS websocket options
  The first two are what it currently takes, the second two would (obviously) support websockets by upgrading the request, per the websocket definition.

I haven't actually written code for this yet, so the above assessment may change ...

It might be nice for lfest to provide an upgrade function, too ... I think it can be very generic, thus alleviating the developer from having to write one for every app. We'll see.
