Keyboard shortcut and Window font size

1. The keyboard shortcut F4 doesn't open the search dialog, it opens up a window with "Input request. Enter nick password".

2. This may have something to do with the scaling on my PC but the font size in results windows is very small, making it difficult to read. It's completely different to the font size in other mIRC windows. Is there any way to permanently change it to a larger size? It can be changed per window via the system menu accessed by clicking the top-left corner of a window and selecting Font. However, the change only applies to the current window. When a new results window is opened, the text is really small again.

1. sbClient's primary purpose is to process results files from SearchBot servers, and in fact I was not even aware that sbClient processed @find results.

2. I am not sure what other mIRC scripts you run, but I do not believe that F4 doing something odd is a consequence of the sbClient script (though it may be). It could also be a function of one of the other scripts, or even a manual mapping you have made, so try removing the other scripts to see if that makes a difference.

3. The small fonts quite likely to be a function of the sbClient script - and IMO your best best is to examine the sbClient script code for the lines that open the @find.ServerData custom window and see whether you can change the font or font size it uses.

4. A decade or so ago, I reworked another of Sander's scripts, his DukeLupus dlFilter script (which is available at https://github.com/DukeLupus/dlFilter), and (from memory) this also contains code for processing @find results. You may find this script useful in any file serving channel in order to hide everyone else's file server commands and limit what is shown to the chat. But you might also like to see whether it's @find functionality is any better than sbClient's. (Note: I am NOT actively maintaining the dlFilter script. So if it doesn't work, you will need to enhance it yourself. The good news is that the dlFilter code is MUCH more clearly written. However, whilst I am not maintaining it, I will look at any PRs that are made, so do please submit any changes you make.)

TBH, I am not sure that Sander is supporting sbClient any more (though if he responds here he may offer support). There is a newer version maintained by Ook which can be obtained on irchighway/#ebooks by typing @SbClient in the channel, and you might get Ook to support this version.

It has also been my intention for some years to rework sbClient (probably Ook's version) to have better code quality and to provide additional functionality, but in those years I have not found the time to get to this. To be fully transparent, as and when I get time to do open source stuff, I need to do maintenance on dlFilter and then I have at least 2 big projects with higher priority - so being realistic I may never get to this.

I have no other scripts installed other than whatever came with the Realm2015 script that I use. It comes pre-installed with OmenServe and sbClient. I don't even know what that password window is for. When I enter my password and click OK, I guess a message in the status windows that says "-NickServ- Password accepted - you are now recognized." But I have no idea what that's about because I was already recognised.

I have found entries for @find.ServerData and @find.results both of which say Arial 12 but that is not how the font is being displayed in the window. When accessing Font from the system menu it says Arial 9 and when I click OK, the font size changes to that (still smaller than the mrc script file that says size 12 but at least it's more readable). But unfortunately, as I said, that only applies for as long as the window is open.
