[Feature Request] Add support for Alibaba Cloud's Qoder as an AI platform provider #36

Description

@hpjchilin

Use Case

As an enterprise user working with complex Simulink models and automated code generation, I am looking for an AI platform with strong "Agentic" capabilities and deep context engineering. Alibaba Cloud's Qoder (https://qoder.com) is a next-generation agentic coding platform that excels in autonomous code generation, code review, and massive context retrieval (capable of indexing up to 100,000 files at once).

Integrating Qoder into the simulink-agentic-toolkit would allow developers to leverage its powerful agentic workflows for more accurate, context-aware Simulink scripting, MATLAB code generation, and automated debugging. Furthermore, Qoder supports enterprise deployment via Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (DashScope/Bailian), which is crucial for organizations with strict data security, air-gapped networks, and compliance requirements.

Proposed Behavior

I propose adding Qoder (or its underlying Alibaba Cloud DashScope endpoint) as a native, selectable AI platform provider within the toolkit's configuration.

Specifically, the integration should:

  1. Allow users to authenticate using Qoder Teams / Alibaba Cloud DashScope API credentials.
  2. Enable the toolkit to invoke Qoder's agentic capabilities (or its compatible LLM endpoints) specifically optimized for complex coding tasks, tool-calling, and multi-file context understanding.
  3. Provide a dedicated configuration profile or adapter for Qoder to ensure optimal prompt formatting, system prompts, and token usage aligned with its agentic coding protocols.

Current Workaround

Currently, users might try to use the generic "OpenAI-compatible" endpoint and manually point the base URL to Alibaba Cloud's DashScope API. While this allows for basic LLM text generation, it completely misses out on Qoder's specialized agentic protocols, advanced context engineering features, and specific coding optimizations.

Alternatively, users are forced to manually copy-paste code contexts and logs between their Simulink/MATLAB environment and the standalone Qoder IDE/CLI, which breaks the seamless, end-to-end automation workflow that this toolkit aims to provide.

Additional Context

  • Product Name: Qoder (by Alibaba Cloud)
  • Official Website: https://qoder.com
  • Product Overview: Qoder is an agentic coding platform designed for real-world software development. It features autonomous agents, agentic chat, and advanced context engineering, evolving from a traditional AI IDE into a fully autonomous development platform.
  • Enterprise Integration: It is deeply integrated with Alibaba Cloud's ecosystem, allowing teams to access it via Coding Plans or Token Plans on the cloud marketplace.

Adding native Qoder support would significantly boost the toolkit's code-generation accuracy for large-scale projects and make it highly attractive to enterprise teams already utilizing the Alibaba Cloud ecosystem. Thank you for considering this request!
