I am working on a version 2.xxx.y that combines RDAP and WHOIS.
It will consult RDAP first and if no data is available continue with the clasic WHOIS output.

a slightly different output will be needed

best pin your dependencies explicitly to version 1 if you do automatic updated to the latest version.

• more info is available in the branch dev-v2.
• working code exists there already.

Is there a way to pick/force RDAP or WHOIS?
I'm asking because I got different outputs for two domains. I contacted OVH, and they fixed the entries, but I'm not sure if everyone will fix the data when reported, so ideally, we should have a way to use RDAP only, WHOIS only, or RDAP with WHOIS as a fallback.

Yes there is intended to be a default but also options to use only rdap or whois

added the cli command whoisdomain has --rdapOnly and --whoisOnly (best use only one)
and the api call whois() has additional boll params , default false rdapOnly and whoisOnly
