Schema validation - only one by one?

to I understand it right that the "validation by schema" shows only errors one by one?

I messed up a XML with many wrong content, and got only the first error. When I edited it, I got the second ..
Is there a way to display them all?

It depends on the type of error, if the schema validator considers the error to be fatal it will stop and report only the errors up until that point. The reason being it doesn't want to spew out a bunch of errors that are only side effects of the first error. I do not have control over this behavior as it is implemented in the .NET framework schema validator.
