The safest fix is to make token and session behavior deterministic across refresh and callback boundaries. Validate provider payloads early, normalize missing fields before persistence, and avoid implicit fallback logic in callbacks. In production, enable structured auth logs around sign-in, callback, and session resolution so mismatches are visible immediately instead of surfacing as intermittent user-facing failures.
