No, it's only a QOL type of thing.

I've setup 2 smb shares for my users and I see that there's currently an entry "External storages" in the sidebar, after clicking on which they can see both shares listed.
I think it'd be much better if there would be a switch in each share's settings on admin page that could append that share to the sidebar as its own entry.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I can't think of any other alternative except for maybe global switch for all shares instead of a per-share behavior, but I think per-share is highly better.
