It is not currently possible to send Opencode text from a terminal window as you would we line references in files.

Describe the solution you'd like

I would like that text from a terminal, when the user asks for explanations of it, be copy/pasted into an opencode prompt.

Manually Copy/Pasting.

Ooo this is a great point, thank you!

Typically we send the location (file + line/col) so opencode reads the surrounding context too. Since terminals don't have a file, I guess we could instead send the literal text? Should be fairly straightforward to add such a conditional in context.lua. Maybe a more general solution, like whether the buffer is backed by a file.

Oh? I thought this wouldn't work for terminals because they're not backed by a file for opencode to read? 🤔

It does not work to send the whole content of the terminal session or just what is visible. But now it is working to select test and ask directly, with no copy-pasting. But hardly I would like to send the whole context or exactly what I see. Selecting the text I want to send is fine.

If you would prefer, to your own organization, I could reopen the issue for a more complete implementation.
