Workflow concurrency limit

Hello !
Really like your work on this. It fit how I would like workflows to work in my apps.
Is there any plan for workflow concurrency limit directly in openworkflow ?
To prevent more than X workflow per user running at the same time ?

Per workflow concurrency limits are definitely on the roadmap, the open question is how to build/ship it:

1. 100% Postgres, accept a lower peak throughput in exchange for keeping infra simple
2. add an optional Redis/Valkey backend to unlock features like per user limits and higher throughput

My guess is that we'll eventually support both and let users choose, but right now it's mostly a question of prioritization.

Do you or others have a strong preference between those two options here? Or have a suggestion for a third option that'd be better?

Also, for what it's worth, workers since our initial v0.1 release can cap overall concurrency at the worker level, but not yet by criteria like per user like you're looking for.
