Gallery import uses system photo picker instead of file explorer

The gallery import entry point opens the system photo picker, not a file explorer. There is no way to navigate folders or pick files by path, which makes it harder to locate specific files.

The use of the system photo picker is a deliberate choice.
The photo picker lets users see the images they are about to import and provides quick access to recent photos, which are often the ones they are looking for.
This is in line with FairScan's goal to be simple and accessible to non-technical users.

That said, could you please have a look at the OSS Document Scanner screenshot below?

In my view, the two highlighted icons at the bottom are distinct enough to remain intuitive without overwhelming non-technical users. Would you agree?

If I understand correctly, you suggest providing both a photo picker and a file explorer for importing images.

My concern is that this would introduce two different ways to achieve the same task. FairScan tries to stay as simple as possible, so for now I prefer to keep a single import workflow.
