I created a leaflet version of your game and added some features. The test version is at http://www.codefor.eu/learnyouacity/web/index.html. Would you like to somehow get this one into your repo?

Hey, that's pretty cool! Yeah I think it would definitely be cool to collaborate on this.

I briefly tried your version, and one thing I noticed is that you have to quite 'surgically' click exactly the street that we're looking for. In my version, you can start by selecting the general area, and only have to select the specific street once zoomed in.

I think both approaches have there advantages, but neither seem to be quite "there yet". Can we think of an interaction model that combines the strong points of each approach?

I am currently investigating if I can set a click tolerance on my layer. Will get back when I have made some progress.

Ok, so I discovered setting a 'weight" of 50 on the (invisible) line elements does the trick. Uploading it now to our development url http://www.codefor.eu/learnyouacity/web/index.html could you please evaluate?

I like the 'full screen' style! I'd definitely be open to merging that one already.

I'm still not sure about the 'playing' experience though: when I don't know a street, I think the game should show me where it is, so I learn it for next time.

I can agree with that, but the way it works now is that it gives you another try and when you eventually select the right one, it colors green. Then you get to try other streets until the entire map has green streets and you get the "All done" message.

Yeah, I think marking 'found' streets green is a cool touch.

When playing with a larger map, however, finding a street you don't know yet (which will be common at first) is pretty painful.

Perhaps, when mis-identifying a street, we should mark it in red until the user confirms and then continue with the next street?
