I am using Orange Pi 5 Plus with Rockchip RK3588 and OP-TEE.
I previously asked the upstream OP-TEE community here:

My current understanding from that discussion is that upstream OP-TEE does not automatically use a SoC hardware crypto engine for standard TA crypto APIs. Hardware acceleration requires the platform/vendor port to provide and integrate a secure-world crypto driver.
Therefore, I believe the remaining question is Rockchip-specific: whether the RK3588 BSP/platform port officially supports AES hardware acceleration from OP-TEE secure world, and if yes, what driver/API/ABI should be used.
