Reply to forum post

Users want to be able to specifically reply to a forum post. Maybe the simplest form can be a little button that just adds "Replying to link" at the top of their post.

Some platforms like GitHub handle this by letting people "quote reply" with the text they are replying to, in a particular style. I think this is a route that could be explored. Fully threaded comments a la Facebook would require huge changes to the data model. Given the poor participation in forums I'm not really sure that's worth investing time in right now.
