Feature Request
I would like to propose a new optional app lock behavior to improve usability while maintaining security.
Problem
Currently, app locking can feel inconvenient for users who frequently switch between apps (e.g., camera, notes, OTP, etc.). Requiring unlock every time interrupts workflow.
Proposed Solution
Introduce a new setting:
"Lock only after device is locked"
Behavior:
- If user switches apps → app remains unlocked
- If device is locked → app requires unlock when reopened
Benefits
- Improves user experience during multitasking
- Reduces unnecessary unlock interruptions
- Keeps security intact when device is actually locked
- Gives users control over their preferred balance of security vs convenience
Security Consideration
This would be an optional setting, so users who prefer stricter locking behavior can keep existing behavior unchanged.
Conclusion
This feature provides flexibility without compromising the existing security model and can improve overall usability for many users.
Thanks for considering this idea!
This feature provides a balance between usability and security by giving users control over lock behavior.
Happy to help implement this feature if it's accepted.
