sub-seconds ending with zero

Sorry to bother again, but I've been hitting an occasional issue where simplesamlphp is still mad about the date format:

Caused by: SimpleSAML\XMLSchema\Exception\SchemaViolationException: "2026-03-31T19:41:01.457286900Z" is not a valid xs:dateTime

After a bit of digging in the changes you made last week for the long sub-second timestamp, the trailing zeros are apparently the issue now. Stock Apereo CAS does this unfortunately. Is it possible to change the code to accept trailing zeros?

I'd rather fix this in the xml-cas library by adding a less strict version of the DateTimeValue, because trailing zero's are specifically mentioned in the specifications as being illegal

They've made it impossible to create issues on their Github repository and only accept pull requests :/ Unfortunately my Java-skills are pretty much non-existent.

It should be very easy for them to strip the zero's from sub-seconds to comply with the XML-specifications (which is more strict than the ISO-8601 specs they use now for their timestamps).

I have a PR ready to fix this on our end if Apereo for whatever reason is not willing to comply, but I think we have a really strong case here for them to fix it on their end.
It's quite an expensive operation though, so I'd rather not merge this.

I cannot join the conversation though.. Very annoying that they're so strict in the way we can communicate with them.
Perhaps you can lead the developers to this thread? I'd be happy to discuss the issue with them.
We can immediately discuss sub-seconds beyond 6 decimals like we discussed in other PRs.. I feel more than six decimals make no sense.
